Transformers Costumes
Three Transformers fancy dress costumes sit in this range, all in kids' sizes: Bumblebee the Autobot, and the Maximal pair Cheetor and Rhinox, each a full jumpsuit with that character's mask or headpiece, ages 4 to 8. We will say the awkward part first. We do not make an adult Transformers costume, and the Optimus Prime toy sword is the only piece here with no age sizing, so it is the one Transformers item a grown-up can carry.

Bumblebee, Cheetor or Rhinox: the three costumes and the sword
Autobots are the heroes, and Bumblebee is the yellow one from the films. Maximals are the Transformers that turn into animals, which is where Cheetor and Rhinox come from. Each is a robot costume built round one named character. All three are Disguise pieces. All of our kids' products are safety tested by accredited labs, and every costume goes through over 30 measurement checks.

The Kids Transformers Bumblebee Costume covers the yellow Autobot from the films: a yellow and black jumpsuit with a half mask, and the only one of the three that runs in two sizes, Small (ages 4 to 6) and Medium (ages 7 to 8). |
Going Maximal instead, the Kids Cheetor Transformers Classic Muscle Costume pairs a muscle-effect jumpsuit with a Cheetor headpiece, in Medium (ages 7 to 8). |

Send both Maximals out together and the Kids Rhinox Transformers Classic Muscle Costume is the other half: a jumpsuit and Rhinox headpiece in the same two-piece form, also Medium (ages 7 to 8), so two children the same age can go as the pair. |
For the Optimus Prime fans, the Transformers The Last Night Optimus Movie Sword stands in for the costume we do not make: a 25-inch (63.5 cm) toy sword in one size, sold on its own, carried with any of the three jumpsuits. |

Sizes, masks and what comes in the pack
Cheetor and Rhinox come in Medium only, so Medium (ages 7 to 8) is the largest size on this page; if your eight-year-old is tall for their age, check the size guide before you order. Each costume is a two-piece pack: jumpsuit plus half mask for Bumblebee, jumpsuit plus headpiece for Cheetor and Rhinox. The jumpsuits take a cold hand wash and an air dry. The same three costumes and the sword also sit on our kids' Transformers costumes page, alongside the rest of the kids' range.
Frequently asked questions
Do you sell adult Transformers costumes?
No. Our three Transformers costumes come in kids' sizes only, Small (ages 4 to 6) and Medium (ages 7 to 8). The Optimus Prime toy sword is the one item in the range that is not sized by age. For an adult robot look without a named character, the Android Costume Morphsuit is the closest thing we make.
Do you have an Optimus Prime costume?
Not as a costume. The Optimus Prime item we sell is the 25-inch toy sword, carried with any of the three jumpsuits or over a child's own clothes.
What is the difference between the Bumblebee, Cheetor and Rhinox costumes?
Bumblebee is the yellow Autobot, a jumpsuit and half mask in two sizes. Cheetor and Rhinox are Maximals, Transformers that turn into animals: a muscle-effect jumpsuit and headpiece each, Medium only.
Can my child see properly in a Transformers mask?
Bumblebee's half mask has eye openings for clear vision, and Cheetor and Rhinox each come with a headpiece. Any face covering narrows what a child sees at the edges, so try it on at home before the night itself, and keep a hand free near kerbs and steps once it is dark.
Is the Optimus Prime sword safe for young children?
It is CE safety test approved, and the product page states it is not suitable for children under 3 years because of small parts.
How do I wash a Transformers costume?
The jumpsuit takes a cold hand wash and an air dry.
