Group Fancy Dress and Couples Costumes

Group fancy dress ideas by theme

Each set below keeps the group on one theme while giving everyone their own costume, from a sumo bout in three colours to a four-person cops and robbers line-up.

A sumo bout needs no rehearsal: the Mens Sumo Megamorph Inflatable Costume Red, Mens Sumo Megamorph Inflatable Costume Blue, and Mens Sumo Megamorph Inflatable Costume Black are one-piece inflatable suits, each with muscles, tassels, and a headpiece. A battery-powered fan does the inflating (four AA batteries, not included), one size fits most adults, and your face stays uncovered.

Take the aerobics class back to the 1980s: the Men's 80s Fitness Instructor Costume brings a blue Work It leotard, pink leggings, leg warmers, a headband, and sweatbands, in chest sizes from 38 to 48 inches, while the Women's Bright 80s Aerobics Costume adds a printed leotard, pink bardot top, and aqua shorts, in sizes small to XX-large.

Cops and robbers gives four people four jobs. The Mens Cop Kit Costume comes with a hat, belt, handcuffs, and aviator sunglasses, and the Womens USA Police Sergeant Costume adds a shirt, trousers, hat, belt, walkie talkie, and handcuffs. Opposite them, the Men's Striped Burglar Costume brings a beanie, eye mask, gloves, and a money bag, while the Men's Orange Prisoner Costume is a boiler suit with handcuffs included.

For a crew that spans ages, the Boys Pirate Captain Costume sails alongside the Men's Rum Smuggler Pirate Costume and the Women's Buccaneer Girl Pirate Costume. The boys' set has a hat, eyepatch, sash, and foam sword, in sizes from toddler to large. The rum smuggler adds a tricorn hat with a dreadlock wig, and the buccaneer a corset-look coat, frill-hem dress, and feathered hat, in UK dress sizes 8 to 26.

A hippie line-up runs from men's and women's sizes down to girls': the Men's Groovy Hippie Costume is a patterned jacket with matching 70s flared trousers and a peace sign necklace, in sizes medium to XL, the Women's Groovy Hippie Costume is a multi-coloured print dress with a gold peace symbol necklace, in UK sizes 8 to 18, and the Girls Hippie Costume is a printed dress with a waistcoat, leg warmers, and a headband, for ages 4 to 14.

Couples, families, and bigger squads

For two, our couples costumes pair matching looks. For a family or a bigger squad, our group and family costumes cover adults and kids. To build your own, browse mens costumes, womens costumes, kids costumes, or all costume types. For a stag or hen party, see our stag do and hen do costumes.

Sizing a group order

Every costume follows its own size guide, so check each one rather than ordering one size for everyone. Most men's costumes here size by chest measurement, women's by UK dress or clothing size, and kids' by age, while the sumo suits are one size fits most adults. Each set above includes its own accessories, and the sumo suits need four AA batteries, not included.

Frequently asked questions

What is good group fancy dress for four people?

Cops and robbers splits four ways: an officer each from the Mens Cop Kit Costume and the Womens USA Police Sergeant Costume, then a burglar and a prisoner. A pirate crew of captain, rum smuggler, and buccaneer suits a group of three.

What are funny group fancy dress ideas?

Try an inflatable sumo bout or a 1980s aerobics class. The sumo suits come in red, blue, and black, and the aerobics sets include leg warmers, headbands, and sweatbands.

What is good mens group fancy dress?

Men's roles here include fitness instructor, sumo wrestler, rum smuggler, burglar, and prisoner. Check each product's size guide, as most men's sizes here run by chest measurement.

What fancy dress works for a team?

Give everyone a role in one theme, as cops and robbers does, or use one design in several colours, as the sumo suits do.

How do I size a group order when everyone is a different build?

Check each product's own size guide rather than matching sizes across the group: most men's costumes size by chest measurement, women's by UK dress or clothing size, and kids' by age.

Do you sell couples costumes as well as group costumes?

Yes. Our couples costumes have matching looks for two, and our group and family costumes cover bigger squads.

Where can I buy group fancy dress online in the UK?
