The best Power Rangers costume for adults comes down to the cut: a padded muscle costume that copies the TV silhouette, or a stretch Morphsuit that stays comfortable for a full night out. Both sit in the full Power Rangers costume range, and both are licensed fancy dress. Over the last four months, adults have outspent kids on this range on our own site by roughly 6 to 1, so we have ranked it adults first, by ranger colour.

Morphsuit or muscle costume: which cut fits your look?
The two cuts are built for two different nights. The muscle costume is a padded jumpsuit with a rigid character helmet: sculpted chest and arm padding, a belt and buckle, and a moulded helmet that finishes the silhouette from the show. The Morphsuit has no padding and no helmet at all. It is one piece of 91% polyester and 9% elastane with a four-way stretch, so it goes on in seconds and packs flat afterwards.
Comfort is the trade-off, and a related garment has been measured for it. A 2023 peer-reviewed study of mascot-costume wearers found the air inside the costume's head area sat nearly 5°C above the outdoor air, with wearers' skin temperature climbing faster than in normal clothing (International Journal of Low-Carbon Technologies, 2023). A muscle costume is not a mascot suit, but the same mechanism applies: padding plus a closed moulded helmet restricts airflow, and a stretch Morphsuit has neither. So the split is really about how long you are wearing it. Two hours of photos, take the accuracy. A full night out, take the stretch fabric.
| Cut | Best for | What's in the pack | Sizing (live) | Care |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Muscle costume | TV-accurate look, a shorter stint in photos | Jumpsuit with padded torso and arms, belt and buckle, character helmet | XL/XXL on Red, Blue, Black and Green; White is L only | Not stated on our pages; check the garment label |
| Morphsuit | All-night comfort, packs flat, easy to move in | Single-piece stretch suit, no helmet or padding | M to XXL, sized by height | Hand wash cold, air dry flat |

The classic muscle costume, in all five ranger colours
One thing to be straight about before you pick a colour. The five muscle costumes below are made by Disguise under the Power Rangers licence, sold through us. The Morphsuit and the Megazord inflatable further down the page we make ourselves. Two licensees, two cuts, both properly licensed. If five of you are doing the full classic line-up, the muscle costume is the set to order together: Red, Blue, Black and Green all take the same XL/XXL sizing and come with the same jumpsuit, belt and helmet.

1. Mens Power Rangers Red Ranger Muscle Costume: the classic leader's cut
The Mens Power Rangers Red Ranger Muscle Costume is the one most people picture first: sculpted white-diamond muscle panelling across the chest and arms, a white belt, and a glossy helmet with a toothed grille below the visor. In the pack, a jumpsuit with padded torso and arms, an attached belt and buckle, and the character helmet. Sizes run XL (50 to 52in chest) and XXL (52in and over) only, so measure your chest instead of going by your usual jacket size.
2. Mens Power Rangers Blue Ranger Muscle Costume: the trusted second
The Mens Power Rangers Blue Ranger Muscle Costume swaps the chest diamond for white triangular panels across the shoulders and forearms, with a beaked glossy blue helmet and a narrow black visor band. Pack and sizing match the Red Ranger exactly, jumpsuit, belt and helmet in XL and XXL, which makes Red and Blue the simplest two-person team to order in one go.

3. Mens Power Rangers Black Ranger Muscle Costume: the sleekest helmet in the line
The Mens Power Rangers Black Ranger Muscle Costume keeps the same white-diamond muscle panelling as Red, in black, with the sleekest helmet of the five: a streamlined, near-visorless black shell with just a thin light trim where the face shows through. Sizing is the XL/XXL band again. The trade-off comes with that closed shell: less airflow than an open visor, so factor that in if you are wearing it for more than a couple of hours.
4. Mens Power Rangers Green Ranger Muscle Costume: our best-selling classic colour
Our own sales put the Mens Power Rangers Green Ranger Muscle Costume top of the five classic colours, and the costume earns it: a gold cape-like mantle over the shoulders, a clawed emblem on the chest, and an elongated, toothy green helmet. It is the most dramatic silhouette in the line. Sizing and pack are the team standard, XL/XXL with jumpsuit, belt and helmet, so it slots straight into a group order.

5. Mens Power Rangers White Ranger Muscle Costume: the most detailed helmet, one size only
The Mens Power Rangers White Ranger Muscle Costume is the most armoured-looking of the five: gold pauldron shoulder pieces, striped gold-and-black trim, and a chrome-visored helmet with a stylised gold face plate. Check the size before you commit, though. It lists in one size only, L (42 to 46in chest), and there is nothing to size up or down into online if you fall outside that band.
The Morphsuit pick: White Ranger, built for all-night comfort
6. White Power Ranger Morphsuit: the comfort pick for a full night out
The best Power Ranger Morphsuit for adults is our White Power Ranger Morphsuit. It is skin-tight and single-piece, 91% polyester and 9% elastane with a four-way stretch, and the ranger's beast-face graphic is printed into the fabric rather than built into a moulded mask. Nothing to fog up, nothing muffling your voice. Sizing is the broadest on this page, Medium (5'5" to 5'10") up to XXL (5'10" to 6'5"), and it goes by height rather than chest. This one we make ourselves, not a licensee, and it goes through the same 30+ measurement checks as every other MorphCostume.

Go bigger: the inflatable Megazord for the group finale

7. Power Rangers Megazord Inflatable: the group photo finale
Put one person in the Power Rangers Megazord Inflatable and the five-ranger group shot gets its robot. It is grey-bodied with red-and-black panelling, flared winged shoulder pieces and an oversized helmet with sweeping horn-like fins, held in shape by a built-in fan that runs up to 4 hours on 4 x AA batteries (not included). One size, adjusted with hook-and-loop fastening. Ours as well, like the Morphsuit.
Getting Power Rangers costume sizing right
Power Rangers costume sizing means measuring rather than guessing: chest for a muscle costume, height for the Morphsuit, and your usual clothing size carries over to neither. It is the part to slow down on, because the two cuts size on completely different measurements and one of the five muscle costumes only lists in a single size.
| Costume | Sizes live now | Sized by |
|---|---|---|
| Red, Blue, Black and Green Ranger muscle costumes | XL (50-52in) and XXL (52in+) | Chest measurement |
| White Ranger muscle costume | L (42-46in) only | Chest measurement |
| White Power Ranger Morphsuit | M to XXL (5'5" to 6'5") | Height |
| Megazord inflatable | One size | Hook-and-loop adjustable |
If you are between sizes, or outside the XL/XXL band altogether, take the Morphsuit. Its size run has room to move in; the muscle costumes have none. The Morphsuit and the Megazord are both hand wash only, no washing machine and no tumble dryer; the muscle costumes carry no washing guidance on our own product pages, so check the garment label before you wash one.
Frequently asked questions
The full-body Morphsuit line covers Power Rangers in seven colours: red, blue, black, pink, green, yellow and white. We picked the White Power Ranger Morphsuit for this guide because it is the strongest of them for a full night out. The other six colours sit in the same Power Rangers costume collection.
It is built for accuracy rather than airflow, so a full evening in one runs warmer than a stretch Morphsuit. A 2023 peer-reviewed study of mascot-costume wearers measured the air inside the costume's head area at nearly 5°C above the outdoor air, with skin temperature rising faster than in normal clothing, and the same mechanism applies here: padding plus a closed moulded helmet limits airflow. A few hours of photos, no problem. A whole night on your feet, and the Morphsuit is the more comfortable buy.
Measure your chest for a muscle costume (Red, Blue, Black and Green run XL 50 to 52in and XXL 52in-plus; White lists in L, 42 to 46in, only) and your height for the Morphsuit (Medium 5'5" to 5'10" through XXL 5'10" to 6'5"). Sitting between two sizes, or outside those chest bands, the Morphsuit is the one with room to spare.
Yes, every costume on this page is a licensed Power Rangers product. The five muscle costumes are made by Disguise under that licence; the Morphsuit and the Megazord inflatable are made by us at MorphCostumes. Different makers, both licensed, and nothing here is an unlicensed print.
Get the cut right and the colour is the easy part. The full Power Rangers costume range carries both cuts in every colour, and our Power Rangers costumes for kids guide covers the younger half of the team if they are suiting up alongside you. Where the group is going wider than the Rangers, our best Halloween costumes guide has the rest of this year's picks. We make your best times better with costumes.
