Is it really ten years since The Incredibles was released? One of Disney’s finest animated films saw this family of five use their spectacular special skills to ward off evil and repeatedly save the world. The Parr family, led by Mr Incredible (Bob Parr) and Mrs Incredible (Elastigirl or Helen Parr), were also aided in their heroic exploits by a cast of allies including the cool character known as Frozone, voiced by Samuel L Jackson.
Well, we have some Incredible news for you; as part of Morph Costumes’ new range of Disney outfits you too can take on the role of Mr Incredible, Elastigirl or Frozone to fight bad guys such as The Underminer, Bomb Voyage, and of course arch-nemesis Syndrome.
Before we go much further, we must put down some disclaimers. Mr Incredible possesses enormous strength and resistance to pain, which will immediately attract revellers to this outfit who are planning to go on a stag do. But once you put on the outfit, you are Mr Incredible in name only. It will not protect you from the dangers of cheap cider, jumping off benches or running in front of taxis in the middle of London.
Similarly, Mrs Incredible’s traits of stretching and contorting her body into various wonderful shapes and sizes will not be bundled in as part of the costume.
We’ve all seen some people, of both sexes, on nights out who are seemingly defying the laws of gravity and common decency with their outfits, but you won’t need to push and pull parts of your body into unusual configurations to fit into these beauties.
The only ice you’ll be creating with Frozone will be the blocks in your mixer drink on that stag do, or perhaps inside a Christmas or Halloween drink. Do not try and skate on lakes that you have ‘frozen’. Puddles are OK though.
Enough of the negatives – now here are the positives. You will look like a hero. You’ll talk the talk and walk the walk. And your very presence at any fancy dress party, festival, or sporting event will sort out the Incredible from the Incompetent. These magnificent Morphsuits will be a real talking point to all or see them, whether it’s a stranger in the street or your very own Violet, Dash or Jack-Jack.
The Incredibles was critically acclaimed upon its release, and remains one of Disney/Pixar’s most popular films. It’s great fun and full of laughs, and promotes the ideals of strong family ties and friendship. So if you do choose one of these three outfits you’ll know that you’re not only showing your love for a fine display of cinematography, but also endorsing strong morals and values – while looking pretty awesome.
You might not be able to conquer all oppression and villainy, but at least you’ll make people happy and get them laughing. And that’s almost as good!
