Book Day Kids costumes that deliver max impact for minimum effort

A Tintin costume is one of the simplest costumers to pull together when it comes to World Book Day costumes. Well, as long as your kid already owns white shirt, blue jumper and brown plus fours (going at some trousers with a pair of scissors will probably do the job as well). Go that little bit further and find a toy terrier to play the role of snowy.

Where’s Wally:

We’re sure your kid’s probably got a pair of blue trousers knocking about somewhere. If so, all you’ll need to complete one of these classic book day kids costumes is a red hat and a red and white stripy T-Shirt. Easy.

This one might take a tiny bit of work. Find a green stripy jumper and a red hat you can stick a couple of homemade eyes and antennas on and away you go.

If you’ve go more than one child (preferably three), then this world book day fancy dress is perfect for you. As long as you know how to stitch a piece of material onto a jumper then this will be a walk in the park to make.

Harry Potter:

As impressive as this picture is, in no way shape or form are we expecting you to go to the length of making a three-headed dog. We’re pretty sure everyone will get the message when your child turns up in a robe and pair of glasses with a scar on their head.

Put a superman t-shirt underneath one of your kids shirts and you’ve got a spitting image of Clark Kent. A pair a glasses and a comb over probably wouldn’t go a miss though.

Goldilocks and the three bears:

Next to no effort will be needed for one of these Book day kids costumes. Find yourself a kids grizzly bear Morphsuit, or three if you really wan to complete the three bears look.

You’ve got two options with one. Firstly, you paint your kids face orange and dress them in anything orange you can find lying around the house. Secondly, you just buy a kids orange Morphsuit. We know which idea we think is better.

He’s a classic character in children literature, so why not pay homage to the loveable little bear. Dress your child in a blue coat with a red had and they’ll be unmistakeable come world book day.
